  About the Author

Dana Walrath is the granddaughter of survivors of the Armenian genocide of 1915. She earned a PhD in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. This story was completed during the year she spent as a Fulbright scholar in Armenia while also working on a project that builds on her award-winning graphic memoir series Aliceheimer’s. When not in the mountains of Armenia, she lives in the mountains of Vermont. Like Water on Stone is her first novel. Visit her at danawalrath.com.
